Christ Jesus is the Merciful King - Rev. Remargo Yancie
While the world is crying "No kings" — our hearts are crying out for one.
In 1 Timothy 1:12–17, the Apostle Paul — a former blasphemer, persecutor, and violent opponent of the Church — looks back on his life and breaks out in praise. Not because of anything he deserved, but because Jesus, the merciful King, showed up anyway.
Rev. Yancie draws three responses from this passage: we are to give thanks to God for salvation, service, and strength; grow in grace as Christ overflows into every area of our lives; and go to others with the good news of a King whose patience and mercy never run out. The world may shout "no crowns, no thrones, no kings" — but we have a King who is eternal, immortal, invisible, and interceding for us right now. And it is his delight to save to the uttermost.
